You can also give it away yourself - use it to build your own list or as a freebie to your customers as a valuable bonus.

Twitter is a great way to get free publicity about you and your products. It’s had a lot of UK media attention recently with BBC TV and radio presenters being on Twitter. Jonathon Ross, Stephen Fry, Philip Schofield, Stephen Fry and Chris Moyles to name afew.

It’s a great way to build with relationships with other people and get almost immediate access to your peers in your niche for networking.

I highly recommend you take advantage of this Web 2.0 resource. I’ve used it to generate sales already and grow a list of over 2,100 followers.

I have just watched the video and enjoyed it. I found that Twitter Karma would not work properly when I passed the 1,000 mark for people I was following and as Friend or Follow was so slow in removing those who were not following me back I found an alternative called Less Friends.

I did a post on my blog about Less Friends and mentioned the post on the Fortunate 500 and in a Tweet.

From one of my blog plugins I noticed that a number of visitors to my site clicked the link to Less Friends and I presume are now using it.

I shall try out the other twitter tools you mentioned and see what happens.

Will Watch your video shortly. Whilst reading through the comments I also had the TV on and the BBC ONE SHOW has just done a feature on Twitter, the two main presenters say they haven’t a clue about twitter although I feel that might change in the near future.

I think it was the first tutorial video I recorded. It is really easy to use as you will find after you watch the video. Enjoy

The membership sites on my blog you asked about are all paid for ones.

But I highly recommend the investment as they are excellent value for money - in my opinion.

You get loads of very useful free downloads.

An interactive where you can ask any questions and get answers from the owner and other members. Very cool.

I use that alot myself. That’s how I found out how to change the PayPal orange button text. You can find out more on my blog post, if you want more info.

Access to loads of useful articles and video tutorials, amongst other things.

TweetDeck is SO useful when you get to grips with it. Did you know you can search for tweets with specific keywords in them. Very cool!

I wish I knew how to use CamStudio so I could create a tutorial on all the things it can do for the F500 members.

It’s on my list of things to learn and do.

So many things to do!?

Finally got round to watching the video & making some notes.

Working on the kitchen table means that there is always something going on around me so I had to keep pausing the video - so it took me much longer than 20 mins!

Anyway I am reasonably active on Twitter as you know - my id is HilaryDickinson.

I liked the info about TinyURL - I kept seeing those and wondered how they worked. One I did from YouTube worked automatically, but one from my site didn’t - now I know what to do! Thanks.

I have installed Tweetdeck, but haven’t really got used to using it yet, so I’ll need to get going on that some more.

Lots more things to add to my to do list, but this is great - thanks a lot for this help.

I’ve been using TweetDeck for a while now. Stephen Bray sent a message via ?Twitter, Forunate 500? I don’t know, some time ago recommending it. I’m not sure how to separate people into groups but I’m happy for you to put me in your 500 group.

P.S. Excuse me for using your blog to point this out. For newer people to Internet Marketing. You want to get your site listed in Google using keywords. One way is to do what I did here. Instead of my name I put my keywords ‘PLR Unleashed’. This is automatically linked back to your site and Google recognises this as a backlink with your keyword.

Sorry delay in reply but bust day trying to catch-up with things after the weekend.

Tweetdeck is in Beta so there are some bugs in it, the one you identified being one and I found that work around as well though it’s not idea particularly if you want to add someone and they haven’t posted a recent message. You can’t use that method then and I’ve not found an easy way around that yet.

I was thinking of doing a video on Tweetdeck but I have another topic one in mind for later this week. I see you’ve found an alternative source though. Is that membership site free or a pay one? You seem to have a few membership sites on your resources page.

I’ve just watched an excellent video tutorial on Twitter and TweetDeck, which is part of the superb membership I have to improving my blog and increasing traffic. If anyone’s interested in joining there’s a link on my ‘Resources’ page of my blog. But you better be quick, as they close the doors in afew days. I’m not joking - I just received the email.

Anyway, as part of the tutorial I just discovered how you can add more people to a specific group you create in TweetDeck.

You click on the greyed name below the tweet to get to the profile of the person and then click on the group key at the bottom of the profile. It then asks you which group you want them added to.

So that’s how you can group all the members of the F500 together.

I put up the Twitter ‘Blogroll’ for those F500 students that have mentioned their Twitter-Id’s on this post. Doesn’t seem to be that many of us using Twitter, but I’ll keep adding to it as time goes by.

Terrific video. I haven’t had time to get Twitter happening yet. Thanks for the tips & extra features. My template isn’t very widget friendly, so I’ll have another try.
