I am in the process of uploading Motivational Moment Video #3 ATM. But Google is slow with the embedding code and bloody Viddler - DON’T ask! Jeez! I have had about as good a run with Viddler lately as I have with bloody Paypal.

Anyway, I should have the new video up tomorrow some time - just waiting, waiting, waiting. It’s actually in 3 parts - the motivational bit, a mutual friend (a female) who I get to roast and well, a few little surprises at the end for everybody.

Regarding Twitter, I’m not ‘cooking’ anything just using it very actively to generate followers. No secret.

@Michael,

You are right if you have a lot of Twitter followers in that the messages just fly off the page too quickly to read using the standard Twitter webpage. However, I use TweetDeck which is far friendlier and allows you to set groups which alert you when certain users send messages. There are some problems with using TweetDeck but overall I couldn’t manage Twitter without it.

I’m also designing and having a friend code my own Twitter software which will allow me to do some very, very clever things. But more of that later as it will take a while to get it all working

Thanks for mentioning Steven’s site. I will check it out. You are correct the Camtasia video when loaded to a standard webpage is very high quality but when you load it to YouTube it loses a bit of definition. I’d like to know how to keep that high definition in YouTube so will have a read of Steven’s site before I do the next video.

Michael I will also definitely put the banner up on my site when you launch this new e-cover site. I’m hoping to get a facelift of my blog very soon so I will try and coordinate the two things together.

Back again, lol.

Now I was about to say you must be mistaken about my Twitter updates as the accurate figure is just a little over 1,000 rather than anywhere near 2,000. I checked it this morning before I went to football with my son and it was about 1,100 but now when I look the figure is over 2,300 but I’ve done only a handful of Twitter messages today. Twitter is throwing a wobbly and the stats are way out. In fact, I guess we will see it go down to the ‘true’ figure soon when it sorts itself out.

You and I seem to have been all over the shop today. Your banner is already up at the TEMPLE.

Now this twitter thing with Parkesy is just getting more and more mysterious. I just had another look and the figures have changed from when I looked before. The “Updates” were definitely over 2,000 when I last looked and I distinctly noticed that coz it was way too high from what it had been previously.

I just looked then - out of even more curiousity - and it was back to where it should be - 1,090. Hmm. Strange.

I’ll get to the bottom of this enigma Parkesy. The Gazz-Man will sniff it out. Just don’t eat any baked beans while I’m looking around. PMSL.

I love the embed Youtube video as I’ve seen the question asked many times as well. There are also some cool tricks to get high quality to show up on your site as well by adding some code to the embedded code that they give you.

Of course Youtube wants to have the lowest quality streaming from their site but if you know the tricks, you can get it pretty crisp.

I learned it from Steven DeGracia’s site. He’s another AJ student with Camtasia and Youtube skills.

@ Gazz-Man Ever since you were prodding me about a banner for my graphics, I thought since I didn’t have a specific graphics business for the banner to be linked to, I might as well start one.

Over on my site I’ve got a banner which links to a soon to be launced ecover design site that I just put up today.

I’ll be getting you a smaller version for your site as I’ll be taking you up on your offer. LOL

I really didn’t think about making money from this, I just thought I could help out some folks. Thanks for the kick in the pants guys, I think this could go somewhere and if it does, you will all profit from it as well.

Seriously (something I am struggling with this morning), good video. Incidentally, that “hoss” comment was in response to Shirley’s comment above.

Um, one other thing, sometimes - IF you are not the owner of the video - the embed code can get deleted for TOS violations or it can be changed. I went back to review one of my music videos and that had been deleted and - egad - another one was displaying some porn stuff (I had to watch it just to make sure I didn’t like it BTW). So we need to be careful when embedding third party vids.

If you have produced the video and/or own it then there should be no probs.
