I’m just starting out so I especially got a tremendous amount of great advice from the “Getting Started” section of the e-book.

Plus I gotta tell you this post was packed full of value. It blew right through the excuses so many of us use against ourselves (no time, no money, no plan, etc.)

Thanks for the information. I am sure being someone who is as busy as you are you need to streamline your processes to maximized efficiency. I hear it said quite often that it is easier to steer a ship that is actually moving as opposed to one that is dead in the water. Momentum in life in general will take us to new heights.

Success is always subjective but the points you’ve highlighted above are all reasons people use when they haven’t achieved all they’d wished for.

The desire for change is usually motivated by either desperation or inspiration, and for many people it’s hard to imagine having, doing or becoming anything other than what they’ve already had, done or been.

As a result many people have a “default” future, which gives them whatever comes along, usually based on what’s currently in their lives.

Unless you adopt a positive attitude and are willing to take consistent imperfect action, learning from your mistakes and those of others, nothing will change.

Too many people forget the clock is ticking and you can’t keep putting things off. Today is always yesterday’s tomorrow.

Change starts from within and the desire for something different.

Good comment. You are definately right as well about someone to guide you. Without doubt having a mentor puts you on a faster and proven path to success than without one IMO.

But in the end it is down to the idividual to take rsponsibility and follow through with intelligent action

Your post makes a lot of sense man. I’ve failed many times because I wasn’t sure about what I did and didn’t have a good plan of action. Sometimes I had a plan but failed to follow it. Sometimes I followed the plan but took the wrong decisions because I planed without sufficient knowledge about what I wanted to do.

My best experience was when I took my driver’s license. I planed my path to the license together my instructor.

I followed the plan. Sometimes I tried to jump over some steps … but i had my instructor pointing out for me the importance of doing those steps we planned.

Every week we monitored how long I came compared to the previous week. In the end I did an almost perfect driving test in the time period I expected to do.

So not only a good plan and actions monitoring, but also someone who guides you is necessary, in my opinion.
