Web Prosperity MLM Opportunity
Well after a lot of consideration I’ve decided to sign-up to the WebProsperity opportunity that is all the buzz at the moment. Must admit I’ve been a bit slow on the uptake of this as I got advance notification of this nearly a week ago now. To be honest never done anything like this before so it is a real first for me but I thought what they hell, no harm in signing up (costs nothing) and just see where it leads. After all the tools do look extremely useful, but one thing I will be ensuring is that it doesn’t conflict and detract from the main core of what I am doing on the Alex Jeffreys Coaching course.
URGENT UPDATE: 05JAN - See end of post to see what I’ve just found out …
In the end I think the thing that swayed it for me and caused me to sign up, was the vast number of fellow students that are signng up for it (some of the big established guys as well).
So maybe some of these guys with far more knowledge than me know a good thing when they see it, hence why I signed up. So I’m sceptical but open minded to see what it can deliver my online business.
If you want to follow my lead you can get in here
WebProsperity
Nothing ventured, nothing gained I say. I guess you all know me well enough by now; I will tell things to you straight and you can rest assured that I will do the same with this as well.
Oh, btw I’ve managed to work out exacly what I am going to do with my Blogroll. I’ve got some great widgets to use and will be implementing the changes over the next day or so. So you better get you name down for updating on my blogroll if you haven’t already as I don’t plan on doing another update for a while. (See FAQ page for details of how you get on).
UPDATE 05 JAN:- Just found out you get 6 integrated tools within a provided website. Now I haven’t got time to go into all of then right now but the first 2 immediately caught my eye and will be beneficial immediately for me (and all other Alex Jeffreys Students). They are:
1. A Contact Module - everything you get in Aweber!! So I’ll be looking to dump my Aweber account (once I work out how to transfer my list) and save there straight away by effectively getting the other tools for free. I think Aweber are going to get really worried.
2. A Meetings Module - phone/web conference/interactive sessions - very similar to Alex’s webinar stuff. This is going to be great as I can easily get online with other people who need my help and guide them through things. Plus have conference type calls with blackboard/whiteboard type interactive facilities. Fantastic.
Plus loads of over tools as well. Looks a very promising start.

Hi Garry P, Norman P here wishing you a Happy New Year. Where did 2008 go?
I signed up within seconds of reading the e.mail and watching the video. This is all over the web on the Groups within FaceBook and MySpace and on the other social message boards. It seemed to peak there after I signed up though.
Have sent out 3 blast mailing to goodness know who and as at this morning four sign ups under me so not a huge take up but wonder what the spill over may bring us.
I looked at the blog for the system and gathered that there will be some really useful tools. Like you, may ditch Aweber if there is a much cheaper alternative that works. can always move back if it does not work out.
Managed to miss today’s call schedule at 5.00pm so not yet attended a session yet but with Mark C having worked with the guy in past years I think his credentials should be fine.
Guess we will have to pay a monthly fee at some stage in the future but will still be a great item to have in our for sale arsenal.
Norman
Thursday & Friday this week, phew a lie in on Saturday though!
Garry,
I gotta say I am confused by it all. I’d like to think it is real but I have seen these things before. I am staying neutral on it until I learn more because I don’t want to split my attention.
Gary Simpson.
Hey Garry
Thanks for dropping by my blog and leaving me scuh a supportive message - not quite sure what this webprosperity is and who is David D’Arcangelo?
So what I’m going is: Do some more googling about him first and like Gary S says, I too am going to stay neutral. Do you or anyone else think Alex will mention to us more about it?
All the best
Nigel
Hi Garry,
I am in the same boat with the Aussie. I first got into internet marketing 4 years ago because of my involvement with an mlm program.
Since then I have seen a bunch of them promise the moon and then quietly go away. They all hit the scene with a lot of hoopla and are always touted as the best thing since sliced bread.
They always had some famous spokes person or celebrity type telling everyone how this is the next Google or YouTube and you are a fool if you don’t drop everything and get on board.
I must say I am skeptical of anything that when you get to there website and look around for 20 or 30 minutes and you can’t figure out what the product is that they are selling.
I also run when ever I here the words “matrix” and “you only have to refer”. As far as I can tell they are just selling a package of net tools that are already available.
There is nothing unique here. They are simply claiming that this is the first business opportunity that was designed specifically for internet marketers.
I think I will pass and concentrate on building an online business selling information products like Alex is showing us.
These kinds of programs are what causes the “program hopper” sickness that many newbie marketers catch. There sales copy is designed to snare the newbies.
All this will do is divert your focus from the task at hand.
Anyhow, that’s my opinion.
JT
I’m with you JT. I looked at the videos and the site and I just got totally confused about it all. Being an old hand at MLM and seeing the havoc that it can wreak among blinkered afficionados I’m just watching it all. And when I say havoc… I mean the MARRIAGES that it can totally destroy - and has!
Yeah, I can see how the marketers will be attracted. Figures of 30,000 people are being bandied about all over the place. FRESH MEAT! That is how they all see it.
I am more than happy with what I am learning through Alex jeffreys and the relationships I am forming with future potential JV partners.
I just don’t need another distraction right now. I am horrendously busy both online and offline. But…
… for the “NEXT BIG OPPORTUNITY” junkies - GO FOR IT! That will leave the rest of us to build a business that WE own rather than hanging onto the coat-tails of another MLM that ONLY the founders own.
You can read more about what I say on this - if you are interested that is over at Gary-Land.
Nigel, you are most welcome.
Regards to all…
Gary SIMPSON
Web Prosperity looks interesting
Oh, JT…
I forgot to mention, when you said:
It had better be a damn BIG boat. Maybe the Foxy-Maru, or something. I read somewhere that you tip the scales at 330lbs. That would put the boat load at 600lbs with just the two of us. LOL!
Gary
Hi Garry,
Yes, I agree with JT and Gazz-Man in that I’ve seen it all before. This time I’ll wait. I usually run over to the next big promise, and find out after too much commitment and investment of time and money that this is yet something else that is not working out for me.
It is 3.30am as I write this, and I’m only still up because I still have far too many things on my “To Do” list. So I don’t need any more distractions. I’ll focus on AJ and AJ related projects. That’s more than enough for me.
I wish Web Prosperity every success (ie you Garry, and Norman first comment and any other AJ students) and if I am kicking myself for not being in early doors, I can join later. I don’t need to be lured in with the promise of being in at the beginning. I’ve got other fish to fry at the moment.

Hi Garry,
Don’t be too quick to ditch AWeber. A big part of their attraction is message deliverability - they get messages through when other systems fail. I used to host my own autoresponder system which was also free, but in the end I returned to AWeber because of this very point.
Dave
http://DaveEverettOnline.com
Hi Guys,
Thanks for the comments and I hear what you are all saying. I said right up front that I won’t let this detract from my core stuff I’m doing with Alex Jeffreys and it most certainly won’t
However, to me it is a no-brainer. Forget about the MLM side for a moment. Just 1 of the 6 is of immediate benefit to me. A full autoresponder and email management stuff, no need to pay for Aweber anymore, so everything else is effectively free.
Another tool is the ‘Contact’ software that effectively lets you do Web conferencing and Webinars like Alex Jeffreys’ does. Again this is something that fits in exactly with what I want to provide for people as they I can do one on one help sessions with them and groups of people and interact with their desktops and shows presentations, etc. Very useful for what I have planned.
And the 3rd module is all to do with Media – video, audio, podcasts etc, again an area I am already doing stuff in so already of value to me and will no doubt help with the PPP Newsletter. The other 3 modules are more management type tools and will complement what I am doing and not as eye catching to me.
However, like I say there is enough value in the tools in there own right to persuade me to sign up, the MLM side of things is incidental and if anything comes of it a bonus. That’s the way I look at it anyway. So taking this angle to it I can’t see the downside or am I missing something in these sorts of things?
Hi Garry
Like you I ignored this because it was MLM (which I have no interest in) mainly because of the complete crap that has been around!
Well, when a well trusted IM guy I follow and respect (who would be the last guy I’d imagine doing this - Kevin Riley) - signed up and posted about it I took a look.
The IM tools look like they will be very useful to any online marketers - so let’s see what they are like.
As long as you can use the tools (web meeting etc can be $40 + a month anyway) and get something out of that alone this should be well worth looking into.
The problem is anyone at an early stage of IM is going to get info overload if they look at this as well as Alex’s tasks - so maybe it’s not for everyone.
I did a blog on it and got to #1 on google - case study here..http://tinyurl.com/9lzrar
hope this helps people - not just for this but any SEO/SEM
Cheers
Jerry
Hey Garry
Thanks for recently leaving some really great supportive comments - really appreciated it and yeah I’ve been busily googling away at Web Prosperity and David D’Arcangelo - and what I have found is the guy already owns numerous compnaies including an Aweber type autoresponder service called Getresponse and that web prosperity is teamed up with motivational guru Tony Robbins.
Hmm.. it all sounds quite interesting
Anyway I thought I’d popped this here and sorry to yourself or anyone else who already knew about that.
All the best
Nigel
Gary Gary Gary
Why would you even look at an MLM.You lost an avid reader here buddy.
I got nothing more to say.
>Jerry - Wow that is impressive getting to #1 in google on such a competitive search term. I’m going to have a look at what you did because lile you say that’s powerful for any SEO/SEM.
Also, agree with what you say about the tools. In the end the MLM is nearli incidental if you can get benefit out of using the tools for yourself
>Nigel – Yeah I saw that there was an association with Tony Robbins, I’ve written before on my blog about him. One of my ‘heroes’ and made a real difference to how I do things in life. He has been the most influential self development guy around for me anyway.
>Paul – Well I guess you can’t please all the people all the time. But I guess the first negative comment I have ever got in the blog in virtually 7 weeks is pretty good going. Basically, I don’t expect people to agree with me all the time. That would be impossible.
I do think Paul you have bee a bit hasty though. If you have been an avid reader of mine then it is because you have taken away value and I am pleased that I could be of help and interest to you. I notice it is your first ever comment and it is a real shame that it is a negative one but do respect your viewpoint and hope you will post back to explain why such strong stance. I really want to understand.
I think if you read my post and comments again I make it very clear on the MLM opportunity – that side of things is virtually incidental to the great tools and will not detract in anyway from what I am doing with the Alex Jeffreys Coaching Course – giving away great content and keeping readers up to date with what works and what doesn’t work. I have even stated that I am sceptical but am approaching it with an open mind as Internet Marketers with far more experienced than me are jumping on board. I think an open mindedness with an element of scepticism is a healthy thing otherwise none of us would ever go outside our comport zone. But Paul, we all have our own opinions and if you feel so strongly about my stance, which you find objectionable, then even though I find it confusing after the reasons I give, I have to respect it but obviously can’t chance my own views to accommodate you and everyone. Like I say that is impossibility to please everyone all the time.
I would genuinely like to know though, why such a strong and extreme reaction to something that is such a miniscule part of what I am doing here???
Hi Garry,
I have taken the same view on this you. Some of the tools look very useful and at a very reasonable price. Not sure I would be too quick to drop aweber though as Dave said above, deliverabililty is key.
As you know, Mark Call is heavily involved with this so anyone who needs more info can ask him. As to the ‘business opportunity’ side of it anything is a bonus. But as I have said to Mark, it doesn’t really fit in with the direction I wish to take.
Having said that, I don’t see any harm in signing up. The important thing is that we don’t lose sight of our goals and follow our plan. It’s too easy to become distracted and we shouldn’t let that happen.
We are all reaching the stage where we are going to start taking different directions in how we choose the build an online income.
In my opinion, no one way is right and no one way wrong. It depends on the individual, their goals and business model. I don’t understand why some people seem to get so upset when someone is trying something different.
I say good luck to them.
The comment from Paul above is an example. So your investigating this MLM opportunity. So what! I really don’t get why that should upset one of your visitors, maybe they could learn something.
It’s not like me to have a rant as you know but I think I have been spending too much time with GAZZA, LOL
I got your email btw, sorry I haven’t replied yet. I have been busy with SOA but I will catch up with you soon mate.
All the best
Mark
http://missioninternetmarketing.com
The main reason I declined the offer was because of the warning Alex gave in the first module about splitting your focus, and that it can significantly reduce the chance of reaching your main goal.
The comments here have been helpful, and reinforced my decision not to take up the offer.
Carl.
Hi Mark,
Well put. Sometimes we have to have a rant. That GAZZA has a lot to answer to, LOL!
Like you say there is no right and wrong way to do things. As long as you take ACTION, monitor progress and adjust your plans in response to feedback as to what is and isn’t working, then you will move in the right direction.
And as you, I really can’t see how anybody could get so upset over something which I consider so trivial. But I’d really like Paul to respond because the more we can understand where people are coming from we can learn and adjust if needed. In the end, though people make there own choices and if they want to miss out on all the good stuff because of a minor irritation then I know where that will get them. I think Paul need to pause and reflect on that. I hope it isn’t his first and last post but then it takes a big man to sometimes back-track a little from an initial stance. We shall see, but hopefully he is more aware of my position on the matter after the above few comments.
>Carl – I agree with you about ’splitting your focus’. That’s not the case for me though because of the reasons I’ve given already. But I can see it may be the case for others - that it could become a distraction in which case I would strongly say to those – DON’T get involved if you feel that may happen. Stick with what you know and are learning with Alex Jeffreys.
As another aside, I notice Dean has branched out and has started to promote another mentoring program which is endorsed directly by Alex Jeffreys himself. Now none of us other students have been party to this. I only mention it as obviously Alex Jeffreys himself is encouraging Dean to go and do this so in the end each individual has to decide how much time they have and how best that is focused within the overall objectives of what we want to achieve.
Mark - I LOVE a damn good RANT but you are gonna need to work on being more vehement and strident to ramp it up to a Gazza style rant. Nevertheless, a good first effort. LOL!
Gazz-Man from Gazz-Land.
PS: Other Gazza - up to editing 13/29 and flying into the back-straight. Coming along nicely.
I support Gary’s view. There is nothing wrong in considering using Webprosperity tools and saving money along the way. You can easily spend $200-300 pm paying tools separately, WP will cost you $60 of course providing that tools are doing what they should do. What is wrong with that? Yes it is MLM but I cant care less. It’s the tools I need not MLM.
And to sign up it does not cost me anything and I can decide later whether to take it further or not.
Speak to you soon,
Gordan
Hi Garry,
I’m going to have to pass on Web Prosperity. Having had experience in the past with MLM I’ve found it’s not my thing in life and I would rather concentrate my efforts on building my business based on what Alex is teaching us.
I’m finding I’ve got enough on my plate trying to sign up to the various social sites I need to and other things I’ve got going on.
I don’t seem to be driving all that much traffic at this stage, so I’m either not offering the content people want or I’m not getting the word out in the right areas.
Keep up the good work over here and I look forward to the new edition of the newsletter.
Cheers,
Dean Hohn
I have to agree with not jumping right in to Web Prosperity..As all of you know many times in a launch many kinks surface and have to be worked out or re-done and the whole process can be very frustrating.
Staying focused on AJ and getting this business built is top priority for me and I can always add things as needed.
Talk soon,
Lea
http://leaburkeonline.com
>Gordan - You’ve hit the ‘nail on the head’. I am going to have to spend a lot of money on these types of tools if I am serious about growing my business. So that’s the major selling point for me as it will save me considerably in the long run. You can totally forget it is MLM and go into it on the basis of acquiring these great tools at very low prices.
>Lea - It’s a fair point what you say about initial launches. I won’t be rushing in and doing anything until I’m happy with it.
I haven’t jumped on the bandwagon as of yet either. Just the term MLM turns me off. I may kick myself later, but I already feel so overwhelmed, I just can’t take a chance at splitting my focus right now.
Some of us have sooo much to learn before we’re even able to do many of the things some of you are already doing.
Debbie
http://debbiefoster.net
Gazza,
I just looked at your honour roll up there on the left. Have I REALLY made 99 comments here? Jeez! I guess it will be 100 now. LOL!
Regards
Gazz-Man from Gazz-Land.
Gazza,
Here is comment #101 - Turn that BLOODY video off so that it only switches on when I wanna play it, will ya?
It’s driving me NUTS!
Thank you.
Gazz-Man from Gazz-Land
PS: If ya don’t turn it off you know who I’m gonna send over don’tcha? Yep. And he will be armed.
Hi Garry,
I am with you in this. I see no harm in signing up and see where it leads.
The thing we have to take note is not to divert our attention on the main core business that Alex is teaching us to build.
Well, I don’t want to upset anybody here. It is just my bloody opinion.
Anyway guys, Let us stay united here and please don’t break the chain.
Cheers.
Jeffrey
http://jeffreyblogonline.com
>Gary - turn your speakers down then !! Is it GRUMPY-Gary this morning then,
>Jeffrey - I don’t think which ever view you take it’s not going to upset anyone. We can all discuss things here and express our points of view. Like I say I’m in your camp but understand why others don’t want to do it. My primary motivation is the great tools. Period.
I’ve already got some fantastic plans by getting these tools as such an affordable price. But more of that later
Hey Gary, that tool tip still says 99 comments, I guess you’ve hit the limit mate! You’ve probably made well over 100
Carl.
Hi Carl,
You seem to identified a problem there. I’ll have to get in touch with the plugin developers to see if they can sort it.
Hey Garry,
Hope all is well - just checking what time will the PPP Issue 2 be launched today.
Oh it seems like the views of others are starting to come out and I think some of the actions taken are a bit harsh just because there’s an MLM attached to it.
Like Alex once said, we should all venture our comfort zone and so okay MLM Schemes are illegal in the UK, but the fact is, you didn’t join because of the MLM.
You, instead, joined for the tools, the opportunity of testing what may become the future and asset of any internet marketers business.
I, for one, won’t be joining, but that’s because I’m preoccupied with a new Blog and my new eBook which I working on. Think you maybe interested to know *hint hint* your name and newsletter is featured as an example hehe… hope you don’t mind about that.
All the best and speak soon
Nigel
Nigel,
MLM schemes are NOT illegal in the UK and there are many running. The original Pyramid selling IS illegal and the difference is subtle but there is a difference
Hey Kath
Oh, thats really surprise me - I guess I must have been confused by both and must double check what I read on the internet as well as look back on what my innovations business module lecturer told me.
My sincerest apologies to everyone for posting about MLM being illegal and Thank you to Kath for quickly rectifying my knowledge.
Thanks again and all the best
Nigel
Hey Garry..
Been a bit missing in action of late…had family over for the last 3 weeks with Christmas…first time we been together for 5 years.
The boss said jump and I had to say how high…otherwise I’d be in the dog house for a loooooonnnnnggg time!
Anyway that said…I have been in a similar mind in regards to this offering. In the end I came to a similar conclusion..that if other AJ students are there..well what the heck and its free initially.
I am glad I am not the only one who was a bit slow in picking up on what was being offered..but from what you have said about the autoresponder and the video, etc. that sounds cost neutral and should be worth the change.
Unfortunately I don’t have a big list right now so I am a little on the thin side to go and get sign ups…
Appreciate the info and the range of comments.
Like the video above as well..seem to have that down pat by the way.
Hope to get back into the saddle this weekend with the next call with AJ on module 5..missed the earlier one..hope to get the recorded version ASAP..thanks Alex!!! if your listening..already sent him a Tweet.
Best regards…Paul Mracek
Hi Garry,
I’ll maintain an open mind and look at it. Just don’t want to lose my focus and I’m already splitting myself in 2 different directions with working on my little project and trying to implement the new stuff I’m learning and disappointed that it didn’t come together as quickly as I had hoped.
Ugh,… and I totally relate to the “getting over” quietly working behind the scenes and being anonymous. That is a BIG thing for me - and strangely worried that what I’m doing may not be perfect enough.
Anyway thank you for the insights and the honesty - it’s really appreciated.
Angela
