Morning fellow entrepreneurs!

Quick update. I’ve been inundated with emails direct to me asking for help or advice. Now I really do appreciate people contacting me, but for help/advice the blog is the place to interact. I’ve said this before and I’ll say it again; if it is a question worth asking then it’s something that somebody else will be struggling with as well and thus relevant to be posted on the blog. I will no longer be replying personally to these types of emails as to be honest I just haven’t got the time. Hope you all understand :-) However, that is not to say that there are times when something is better sent by email as the topic is of a more personal nature or not relevant for a general audience. These of course I will always reply to. In the end we are trying to build a useful reference site and community here for everyone, so personal email tuition doesn’t give anything back to the wider community.

A major theme for a lot of these emails are along the lines of how do I get a blog off the ground? I’m on a shoestring so don’t want to spend any money. I understand where you are coming from (read my profile under ‘About Me’ and you’ll totally understand I sympaphise with you as I’m in the same boat!). However, let me make this very clear to all newbies out there - at the very minimum to have to pay to register a domain name and then also monthly hosting charges. I have answered the exact details of this before on this comment#12. After that you can do a lot of things (everything?) yourself and for free if you want to. Remember, in yesterday’s post I have offered to install your blog for free and plus a very cheap hosting option. Click on the Hosting tab at the top of page as you now have no excuses. Also, there are loads of other relevant posts and comments on this blog addressing these initial setup tasks, plus link backs to the contributions other students have made on their own blogs. It is all there either directly on this blog and/or a link to other students blogs so please read and then action.

In closing, it is now nearly two weeks since we signed up with the Alex Jeffreys Coaching Course. If you haven’t got your blog set up by now - why not? Some may have genuine excuses but to be blunt in the majority of cases if you haven’t by now, then no more excuses you need to take action. The only person that can make a success of this is looking straight back at you in the mirror. Alex has done a tremendous job in the material he has already presented to us. But he can’t do one thing for you personally. TAKE ACTION - DO IT NOW.

Finally, later today I’ll be putting up a real KILLER POST!! Something that will be fantastic to everyone and of course for FREE. I’m really excited about my latest offering and this will be the biggest, best and most ambitious thing I have done to day. See you later.

PS. Oh, forgot to mention. I’ve removed some entries from the Student Blogroll as they were not linking back to blogs, some were going to their own PPPs they have just setup. The purpose of the blogroll is to link to informational resources/blogs which are useful for everyone to read and learn from. Let me know if you want to be added to the list
