New Blog Theme
Just a brief post today.
As regular visitors will no doubt tell the Blog looks totally different now than my original one when I started it at the start of the Alex Jeffreys Coaching Course way back at the end of November 2008.
Not got it quite as I wanted yet, but I will be tweaking the layout until I have it exactly as I want it. Let me know what you think.?
As always I appreciate your comments

Cool new theme Garry. I like the layout and the colors. The only thing I would change right away would be to make your background image stationary as to not distract the eyes as you scroll down the page.
I try to do this on all sites with graphics on the side as it looks cool but keeps the focus on the content. I’ve been sick this week but now am ok so I should be back in the full swing of things soon.
Any future images you load should be created and saved in .png format if you want your page background color to show through as well. This format makes the image background transparent.
You might already know these things but if anyone else agrees then at least I already said it. We’ll talk soon my friend. Cya

Hi Garry,
I made my comments on the previous thread but I grabbed them to bring them here – a more appropriate place (and Linda Caroll – I AM quoting myself – yes, but for an obvious reason – well, it’s ALWAYS obvious to me. LOL!)

Hi Garry,
Liking the new theme
Once you have it the way you want it will ROCK!
Speak soon,
Tommy
Hey Garry,
Well done on getting a face lift for your blog. I do prefer blogs that have the posts on the left hand side and the widgets and tool bars on the right – it looks more professional and less clattered.
Plus change the background of the header with a logo of yourself or even perhaps a pic of you – if not the real one then perhaps an animated one.
Although I think you should change the heading to a catchier title like: Alex Jeffrey’s Rocks!!! The internet student community – A new wild breed of intrepreneurs
or something like that
Guy
Thanks Guys for the comments.
@Michael
Glad you are feeling better.
I thought the background image was stationary but only had a gradient on the colour scheme. I quite like the effect ? anybody else have any comments about that.
I don’t want to keep it if the majority see it as a distraction
Thanks of the comment about the .png format. I didn’t know about the transparency thing so very useful to know.
@Gary,
Glad I gave you an opportunity to quote yourself. I know you like to do that, LOL.
What’s the problem with Viddler? I find it the best by far and never had an issue. At over 15,000 embeds of my videos through it I would like it though ?
Let me know what the issue is with your video and I can sort it for you.
@Tommy,
Glad you like it Tommy, though anything would probably be better than the last design, LOL. I’ll get around to replying to your email later!
@Guy,
Great suggestion about the Blog Title. I have been thinking about that for a while but am not the most creative when it comes to Copywriting. I like your suggestion though and will have a little play around with that wording.
I actually wanted to get a picture of me in the Header and it is one of the changes I want to do. Hopefully very soon.
Garry
Fantastic – might get this myself…how do you find the squeeze pages? Was it hard getting your other content [from previous theme] over?
Well done on your 12K twitter too…amazing!
Harry
Hi Harry,
It is a very flexible theme and I highly recommend it. (Free too). There are loads of options you can use to configure it.
What do you mean about your question with the squeeze page – not sure I understand?
The content automatically loads into the new theme. You lose nothing. It is just a matter then of tweaking the design to make thing fit if there is a sizing problem, for example.
Jeff,
Glad you liked the new Theme.
Regarding your comment about Twitter.
No real secret as to how I get the followers. Just putting into practice what our mentor Alex Jeffreys told us what he does. Pick a few people who you like and are in a niche you are interested in, follow them and their followers and then make sure you start to interact. Dedicate about 30-60 minutes a day to it. It gets easier the more followers you have as it gets viral !!
I will put up another post very soon about what how you can use Twitter to great effect but I just use the tools that I previously mentioned in my earlier
“Dominating Twitter” tutorial video
Here’s the link for it here:-

I recorded that tutorial video 2 months ago now !!
Hey Garry,
Great theme you’ve got here! It really has a nice look and feel.
I agree with guy, and see if you can integrate a picture of you in the them – kinda like your twitter page.
Looks great though – speak soon!
Adam
Fantastic new look – nice one Garry! It organises the content well.
Hope all is well in Parkesville
Jerry
Hey Garry
Wahey, finally got to see your new theme – certainly looks great and very impressed by the new info bar that you have on the main home page just under the header and navigation toolbar. Certainly a very good place to put your affiliate products / latest news there.
I have to agree with Michael J Ottman that your background is certainly most amusing in that it makes my eyes go weird – seems like a optical illusion effect – or maybe it my eyes that are funny.
Anyway fantastic work and congratulation on hitting 12k + on Twitter!!!
All the best
Nigel
Hey Garry,
Thought I’d pop on over to see what else has been happening over here – definitely liking this new look.
I’m not seeing any problem with the background, but then you may have changed it since the comments above…who knows.
Nikki
PS – I might even have to change my email on here so that I’m no longer the spindly avatar thingy – as I’m not sure it still goes with this image of this new blog!
Right, I’ll use my *other* email address so that my picture comes up – hopefully that will be a little more to your taste given your super-new-style blog…
The Purple Minxy Witch
Not Bad,
Not sure I I don’t like the spindly green thing better … LOL.
Fine. Perhaps we should put it to a vote.
The green spindly avatar vs my b&w avatar pic.
Thoughts?
Hi Garry,
Great job with the new blog theme, I really like it and it jumped out at me since I haven’t been to your blog since you changed it over. I happened to see your twitter post about getting a plan and a blueprint and thought I’d check it out.
Congratulations on getting your twitter following up so quickly. Mine has been growing too but I’ve got a long ways to go to catch up to you. I was also fortunate enough yesterday to get a copy of BFM 2.0, it was crazy trying to get through to the order page. I’m glad to know how much it’s helped Alex get to where he is today.
Take care and keep in touch,
Kevin
Garry,
I really like the new look. I have to say I was taken aback when I clicked over today.
I miss you guys. I have been dealing with health issues and every time I think I am back at it something else goes wrong. Today spent the day cleaning water out of my basement. That was loads of fun.
Talk to you soon
Thom
Hi Thom,
Thanks for stopping by and glad you like the new Theme. I’m really pleased with it too
We noticed you hadn’t been around a bit and hope that the health issues are now behind you so you can start to motor forward.
All the best,
Garry
Hi Garry
I have been around to view the new theme before now, just didn’t leave a comment.
I like the layout of the new theme. My only comment would be that the blue, particularly in the header is a bit on the bright side and I am rather glad to scroll down away from the total blueness. Is it possible to tone it down a little bit or to perhaps introduce a complementary colour?
Or is that just me being fussy?
By the way I prefer Nikki’s pic to the spindly green thing.
Keep up the great job you are doing.
Hilary
Garry,
Nice new theme, but I guess since it’s a lot like mine I may be biased.
The one thing I noticed, actually on the other theme too. . .Who’s blog is this??
I guess you’re are a humble guy but, where’s the Garry?
At least, in the ‘About page’ tell us who is behind the curtain. Remember that this is all part of your personal branding.
Also, I like the background, but as I read and type here my eyes want to go to it. Maybe not what you want. It’s kind of like looking at a color sample of a paint color that you like, but will it look good all over your entire house.
John
Hi Garry,
I think the new website design is really sharp. Well done. It’s a great improvement over the original theme that did you so well from day one of Alex’s Mentoring Program.
I like both the background and colour scheme. Also the way the affiliate products you’re promoting are so well integrated into the colour scheme.
I’m glad to see you promoting SEO Press Formula. It’s a good product for those wishing to create Niche websites. I use the system myself in conjunction with the Google Conquest System to which Brian J is a trainer.
Your Twitter following is really impressive, and I’m sure the new theme will do lots to enable you to make conversions from followers to customers.
All good wishes,
Stephen

Hey Garry,
I’ve been thinking about a new theme for my blog as I’m growing tired of what I have now. I just couldn’t seem to find a WordPress theme I liked until I saw this one. I noticed in the footer here “Powered by Flexibility Theme”. So I clicked the link to check it out and was very impressed. I am even more impressed by the new paid version called FlexSqueeze but I will get that later. I have already installed this theme on my test blog and love it.
I am going to be switching my main blog to this theme soon but I wanted you to know first. I don’t want you to think I’m copying yours. There’s been over 4K downloads of this theme so there’s a few out there.
Anyway, keep a look out for my new theme and I’ll try not to make it look too much like yours.
Later,
Jeff Sargent
Greetings
I just wanted to comment on the contribution of this community here. It’s great.
I wanted to give a little something back myself
There is a site that has been overly helpful to myself and some associates of mine. That site is OnlineComputerHelpers.com and they offer online computer repair
I hope that my helping hand has been substantial and you also are able to utilize their services just as I have.
