Good evening. If you want creative workers, give them enough time to play.
I am from Pakistan and learning to write in English, tell me right I wrote the following sentence: "Get the best airfare and flight deals on economy, business and first class, choose one way or return trips on domestic."

8) Thanks in advance. Bingham.

Hey Gary

Haven't been around as much as I would like becuase of a virus that struck the family, but I am back :)

I am more than happy to contribute to future newsletter editions. We are article marketers, niche site creators, niche affiliate marketers, link builders and a few other things :)

So if you need anything on the above I will be more than happy to contribute.

Plus, we have just hired a full time VA freeing up time to work on the business rather than in it!

To your success

Garry,

Been working away in my lone eagle's nest, trying to save money by doing everything myself - i.e., the hard way - so I haven't participated in the blogs as I should. I expect to amend that in a day or two, and would very much like to contribute to a future newsletter.

Any chance you (or someone reading this) can tell me how to make your newsletter automatically go out to those who sign up for it? I've rebranded it and am about to put the first one up on my site, but am not sure how I get future issues out to subscribers. I'm sure Aweber plays a part, but how...?

Thanks for the help. I'm amazed at all you do, Garry! All us Alex students appreciate it immensely!

Merry Christmas!

Howdy Garry,

Hey dude! That was nice of you to say that. I wouldn't say I released it QUIETLY. I had trumpets and marching girls and drummers and a big red sign at the top of my home page saying GET THIS!

I have had about 15 downloads of the book in just over 24 hours and some very nice emails BUT... I would prefer it if people said all those nice things on the blogsite because:

1 - you get a linkback and
2 - why keep your comments a secret? (unless, of course, you think the book is shite and then you can email me and I'll send Bad Gary over the ether to have a chat to you - LOL!)

Er, there is a 3rd reason too... it makes me feel good. But enough about that...

Seriously, I gotta thank Gazza Parkes a fair bit here too coz he cannibalised his upload page for me and whizzed it over and doofus me didn't put it in the "root" of the webpage. I was sitting there wondering what I had done wrong and then Gazza told me. When I realised how dopey I'd been I just went DOH! After all, my surname is Simpson - OK, I know... I have just left myself wide open for all sorts of Homer and Bart jokes.

Anyway, come on over and get your Christmas present AND, if you want - IF you LIKE it - you can shoot the downloaded pdf off to as many of your friends as you want. I don't care. All I ask is that you don't change anything.

Let's get this e-book out to everyone who wants to set a goal for 2009 and achieve something. Give a copy to everyone at your work if you want. It's open slather.

Merry Christmas to you all - ho...ho...ho!

Over the weekend the other Gary over at Gary-land (http://motivationselfesteem.com/talk/) quietly released his Project-X ebook.

Now if you are one of the ones struggling to know where to go, what to do, when to do it, then Project-X is for you. Got my copy on my desk now.

Now Gary has been doing phenomenal work for the students in the group, so get on over there and support him. You won't regret it and guess what it will actually be of great benefit to you too!

Hi Ann,

Easiest (only?) way to do this is you need to upload your rebranded newsletter up to your webspace in very similar fashion to what Alex talked you through on the videos about loading up your PPP using Filezilla.

I would create a new directory called 'newsletter' off your root directory and have a HTML page loaded there with a link to your ebook. To can copy my page as a basis for what you need to do and just modifidy it for your site.

Morning everyone,

First comment of the day before I put up a post up about what I'm doing for Traffic Generation competition to get Alex Jeffreys's $1,000 prize money. And I tell you it will SHOCK YOU - a big surprise and very, very good news for you ;-)

Talking about Alex himself, notice he left a comment overnight. Thanks Alex, - internet famous - future guru, lol, who would have thought just a few weeks ago people would be saying that about me???? All a little premature and said in jest at the moment, but hey, what as happened to date in a very short-space of time is quite staggering. It gives me the motivation to go further, think bigger and dream big.

>Gary - No it's not soccer, its football!! Aussie Rules; never did get into when I lived in Oz - just saw it as one big excuse for a fight at times, lol. Now I know you Aussies love the game but then again you're not gonna win any prizes for playing football (round ball variety) are you? Then again thinking about it neither are England - doh!

>Guy - Glad you thought the Newsletter was "Brilliant". Taken on-board what you said about the links and we'll aim to do that in future issues.

>Paul - "Fantastic" - thanks. It looks as though it achieved its objective of helping newbies (more for them in the next issue) plus stuff for advanced people as well. Looks like my tally of beers that people are going to buy me is going up!!

>Paul/Gary - hugs and kisses, hmmm Glad to see everyone getting on so well on the blog. Seem like nice boys ;-0

Anyway, I'll get that post up in a couple of hours about what I am doing with Traffic Generation and why it will be EXCEPTIONALLY good news for you all. No kidding ... pop back later.

Hey Garry,

have rebranded your book and would like to set up a page similar to the one you have at http://garryparkes.com/profitpullingproject/ so that I can send it to my list. What's the easiest way to do this?

Hi Garry,

Brilliant work on your first newsletter, well done matey!

I have to say it is very well written and broken down into the basics of getting a blog up and running that any newbie would understand. I like the fact that as well as putting the technical data necessary to get a blog up and running you also put an article by Gary Simpson about getting motivated and having the right frame of mind when internet marketing.
That is a great idea since keeping motivated is one of the main things necessary to stick in this business - so keep it up with your future news letters.
I personally liked the article by JT Martin about the RSS feed since I haven't got that on my blog yet. It was easy to understand and I'd like to comment on one thing that perhaps you could do on your next newsletter and that's to make sure that the links you attach to the newsletter actually take you to the page you mention, for example JT Martin's link to the feedburner video doesn't take you straight to that particular page but to his general blog.
Just a thought but apart from that excellent work all round matey, well done once again.

Gazza,

"Football?" You mean soccer? Not Aussie Rules.

My "Time-in-Motion" ACTION PLANNER went live a few hours ago. I got all the links sorted out - eventually. Wait till I tell you about the dramas I had. In fact, I still have ONE minor one but the former Project X is now up and operational. And it is FREE to all Alex Jeffrey's students. I ain't waiting for it to be perfect. Just moving on.

Morning Guys,

Hope everyone is well. I'm focusing on traffic generation techniques today and also getting things sorted for next edition of newsletter.

I'll pick up and comments, questions etc. later.

Oh, I'm still getting emails direct for support after the numerous times I have mentioned this!!! How many times do I have to say it?

If it's worth asking then it's worth posting as a comment on the blogs so the answers can be contributed to by all, read by all and of benefit to all rather than just one individual. Come on you guys that are doing it - think how you can contribute to the greater good of the community rather than just make a gain for yourself. Your contribution is asking the question which will benefit all. There is a time and place for emails, but NOT for direct specific support type requests where the answers have an obvious benefit for everyone.

Anyway popping out now and taking my son to playing his football this morning. I'll pop by later

Hey Garry

How you doing my friend? Haven't spoken to you for a few days, anyway, my point of call is that I'll send you that article later tonight after I've re-read it and thinks it's up to scratch and up to your standards. You don't have to use it if you feel it isn't right.

All the best

Hi Garry
If you send me a 50 x 50 mug shot, I'll add it to my student list. Same goes for all other students. Just send your name, URL and mugshot to h@webby.com. Feel free to harvest source of the student list, or pull it into your blog.

Have FUN

Hi Gary,
I have been also very busy locked in my bunker, lost a touch with the rest of you.
Regarding your testimonials page, I had similar idea which I wrote on my post couple of days ago
http://www.gordanbos.com/?p=94
If you have 5 min pls have a look and tell me what you think and whether I should go forward with it. I personally think is good promotinal idea maybe for the later stages of our relationship with Alex. Cheers Garry and thanks for everything.

Hi Gary,
Youe website is looking good. I started on Twitter after the Thursday webinar and I now have followed 630 people. So far Twitter has not banned me. I will continue getting Twitter followers this weekend until I at least reach 1000. I am interested to know what type of posts people are putting on Twitter to get people to visit their websites.

I have posted several Tweets with a reference to the free “List Building With Alex” ebook. It is not possible to know how many people
have visited the link because I do not have Google Analytics set up for it yet. I do have Analytics set up for my blog and see that I have 21 visitors as of tonight.

I am one of AJ’s students and believe my blog qualifies to be listed.
Please add me to the blog roll.

Thanks,

Mornin' Gazza. Well it is over here in Oz anyway. I guess I should say "evenin'" to you over there in the UK.

Just a couple of things I have read above:

@Debs (#52) - you are most welcome. That was well done.

@Kath (#56) - AMEN! Why don't people switch off that MASSIVE impediment to the rest of us for leaving comments. There is no way I am gonna log-in to leave any comment. And I'm over it BIG TIME with those blasted "security codes" too. Some of them I have had my nose on the screen trying to figure them out and got them wrong 3 times. As soon as I see them now I just X away. I don't have time for any of that anymore.

@Alan (#58) - Alan, have you downloaded Dean Holland's e-book? I think that will answer your problem.

Just another reminder - I am NOT Garry Parkes and Gary Parkes is NOT me. I have had so many emails confusing the two of us. If you want to see what my head looks like then zip over to Gary-Land. I spent half the day yesterday doing something for myself - I prettied up my Lada-Niva site a bit. Now it is a Volkswagon (one of the OLD beetle types) Next week I hope to have something more like a Porsche - LOL!

And Gazza - thanks for all the help you are giving me too mate.

Regards
