Hostgator have given me the all clear. So fingers crossed it’s all resolved. Though not sure what the issue was yet.

I got your e-mail–and I have been one of those who has had issues accessing your blog.

I am in Idaho, US, and several times I have tried to go to your website and it says the the server is unavailable, or sometimes it goes back and only shows your Dec 3rd post. Lately, when I try to come to your website it says that your server is unavailable and it doesn’t load your website at all for me.

Luckily today, your website showed up…strange…

I was unable to get to your site for a little while but after about an hour I got through. It’s weird that you and Gary had problems because I was also in a little bit of a panic.

Right after I send you my final draft of the article, I settled in to do the video that went with it. When I tried to embed it on my blog, I couldn’t get my site to load up.

Luckily my hosting company responded fairly quickly and got me back up by next morning. There for a while I just knew that people were going to show up at the blog looking for a video that wasn’t there.

But it all went off without any major hitches. I think the little bit of down time with your site didn’t cause any damage and you should be proud of the job you did and call it a smashing success.

It’s only going to get better and better from here on out. I have so many ideas for future products I don’t know where to start. I have a notebook that I jot ideas down when they come to me and it’s getting full.

I was really looking forward to tonight’s module but I am going to miss most of it. My wife works at PGA National Resort and their employee Christmas party is tonight. I’ll maybe get in on some of the interaction afterwards.

Sorry to hear about your PC problems. Hopefully you are all sorted now. I guess my problem is still going on, as no comments coming on the blog after I sent a broadcast email out. Thanks for confirming Oz seems to be ok.

I’ve been on the phone to Hostgator and they have escalated the problem but it is not totally in their control. Just have to wait I guess.

Got to pop out now for several hours. Is it too much to expect it will be sorted by the time I get back?

I’m in Oz – as you know – and we are good here. I downloaded the e-book this morning – no problem then either. Haven’t tried to again. No need.

I have had MASSIVE problems of my own here. My computer crashed for over 2 hours and I have been on the phone to my geek. Apparently my ANTI-VIRUS software went crazy and blocked EVERYTHING in and out and I had to uninstall and re-install.

I was really annoyed because I didn’t want to miss tomorrow’s Webinar.

Maybe – heh, heh – we have caused such a traffic surge that the servers are unable to cope with it all. Bloody Alex Jeffreys is crashing servers all over the world. What a hoot if that were true.

I strongly suspected something was wrong though this morning when I got up, by just looking at the stats. They fell off a cliff from been tremendous last night. I have a quick question in regards to ‘The Planet’ – Aren’t they that Houston server hosting company that caught fire earlier this year in Auguest – I remember reading an online article about about them on a IT news review site.

Maybe your just getting a sudden upsurge in the volume of traffic which they unexpected and it’s worrying them?

To say I am gutted is an understatement as everything was going so well and it had now come to a bit of a halt. I’ll be doing a full autopsy afterwards trying to establish why this has happened and what I can do to prevent it again. Hostgator tell me it is something they don’t have direct control over but I will be asking all you techies out there for feedback and advice on this matter.
