Finally got around to doing my super-duper changes to the way my complete Stundent Blogroll is displayed on the screen. So, for those that haven’t quite noticed or worked out what changes I have done they can be split into 4 bits:
1. Main BlogRoll This consists of two bits and both can be expandable/collapsable by clicking the arrows (or the small square box on some browsers!). The first bit is titled ‘Top Links’ that conists of 4 links at the moment that are automatically expanded to be visible and include links that I directly add.
The second is titled ‘Most Active Blogs’ and is intended to be exactly what it says. You see I thought about what is the real use and benefit of a Blogroll, and it is clearly to go quickly and easily to those blogs with things happening on them. At the moment the count stands at 59 entries and these are initially ‘hidden’ but can, by clicking the arrow to the immediate left of the entry, be expanded to reveal the entries. Now I want to get this count down to no more than 50 so I will be adding/removing entries from the list as time goes by. Initially, in preparing this initial list of 59 I made a crude subjective attempt of deciding who should be on this list based on my own visits to the blogs, the frequency of posting/commenting on the blog and general level of contribution to the overall Alex Jeffreys Community. I know for a fact I will have missed some obvious candidates (whoops, I can think or some already!) but it was my first stab at it and I will be adding/removing to it as time goes by. Remember my target is to have no more than 50 so anybody added will mean someone is removed!! (Plus also I have to loose 9 to start off with!!). Also, remember there is no precise scientific formulae I am using for who is on or off. If you feel you are worthy of inclusion compared to other entries on it and feel I’ve inadvertently missed you off then please let me know. (You don’t have to say who you think you should replace, just let me know you think your blog is sufficient to be added and I’ll decide who is replaced.)
Well after a lot of consideration I’ve decided to sign-up to the WebProsperity opportunity that is all the buzz at the moment. Must admit I’ve been a bit slow on the uptake of this as I got advance notification of this nearly a week ago now. To be honest never done anything like this before so it is a real first for me but I thought what they hell, no harm in signing up (costs nothing) and just see where it leads. After all the tools do look extremely useful, but one thing I will be ensuring is that it doesn’t conflict and detract from the main core of what I am doing on the Alex Jeffreys Coaching course.
URGENT UPDATE: 05JAN – See end of post to see what I’ve just found out …
In the end I think the thing that swayed it for me and caused me to sign up, was the vast number of fellow students that are signng up for it (some of the big established guys as well).
So maybe some of these guys with far more knowledge than me know a good thing when they see it, hence why I signed up. So I’m sceptical but open minded to see what it can deliver my online business.
If you want to follow my lead you can get in here WebProsperity
Nothing ventured, nothing gained I say. I guess you all know me well enough by now; I will tell things to you straight and you can rest assured that I will do the same with this as well.
Alex Jeffreys, who is he you may ask? Well many readers of this blog are in fact Alex Jeffreys Coaching students so they know the answer and can testify to his brilliance through their own success stories. But there are many of the readership who have not been fortunate enough to be personally mentored by him and need to know more about this new-breed of Internet Marketer. They are sceptical and rightly so, as many have been promised the earth on numerous occasions and are sick to death of re-hashed GET RICH QUICKmoney-making schemes.
Scepticism is a healthy attribute but at the same time one must be open-minded to new opportunities. Alex Jeffreys offers a new way, a new path to riches which I admit most will not want to pursue. You see Alex blows the myth wide open that there is a system, a ‘magic-button’, that you just purchase, implement and by the end of the week or month or whatever period the hyped-up sales literature says and the money will just start rolling in. You see that is most certainly NOT the Alex Jeffreys way. He doesn’t promise you untold riches by such and such a date. He just gives you a step-by-step approach to build your business from the ground up. Get a solid foundation in place and then take advantage of the latest Social Media tools to leverage it to its maximum potential. That is the Alex Jeffreys way and such an approach takes more time (but no where near as long as you think).
Well morning all. The holiday season is nearly over and my self-imposed exile (well semi-retreat really) is almost over. I’m looking top get back into the full swing of things after my family-time commitments over the festive period. Some things are more important than the $1,000 traffic competition that recently ended. So how did you do in it? My stats seemed to hold up fairly well even without my active participation but it is only now that I am going to seriously start using some of the techniques that others wrote about on their own blogs which was a condition of the competition if you recall. I do notice many sites didn’t reveal at all what they were up to regarding the competition and this is a shame as all contributions to our community only strengthen it. I’m really looking forward to the next Alex Jeffreys module though
