Brief post. This weekend I reckon the number of people following me on Twitter is going to break through the 1,000 barrier !! And check this out I am ranked number 34 in the entire UK - yes #34 in the ENTIRE UK (based on the the number of followers). Now I am truly pleased with that statistic, so thank you very much. As thanks to all my followers, as soon as I break the 1000 mark I am going to create a special tutorial video for everyone about “How-to use Twitter for maximum effect”. Well today’s post is continuing on the theme of video. My first ’serious’ video went up only a few days ago. The feedback has been great. It even managed to get ranked in the Top 40 in the YouTube ‘Howto & Style (UK)’ section on it’s first day. Awesome! Thanks to everyone who has watched it, left comments on here, or the Youtube video or gave it a YouTube Star Rating as I think that effects the exposure. Now I’m not saying that to brag or boast (though as you’d expect I’m well pleased), but to encourage you to have a go. My big effort for producing the video is certainly paying off in other ways; But more of that later. You’ll be surprised at the impact it has had. Very surprised.
Just got off the phone with Alex Jeffreys. Guess what? I taught him a thing or two as you will see in this video of the conversation. Seriously though, really enjoyed doing this but it was hard work. I think all the effort will be worth it in the long run though. Anyway I won’t waffle on anymore as the video says it all and it is the first ever that I star in !!! I can see the offers of Hollywood stardom coming in already, LOL.
Oh, and for those that haven’t worked it out …. it’s my contribution to the Alex Jeffreys Video competition to be judged by both him and Maria Andros. Let me know what you think ????
As promised, I created a video on how I implemented the clever and dynamic Blogroll changes that are visible for all to see on my Blog now. It covers everything about how I did it.
Some of the key features on applying the Blogroll changes are:
Site Loads faster
Takes up less ‘real-estate’ (space on the screen)
Expandable and Collapsible lists
Fair and transparent to all
Encourages more interaction and commenting on site to get featured automatically
People with their own active blogs are given prominence
Random ‘Guest’ slot appearances
Active commenters autmatically ’promoted’ by system to the ‘Most Active List’
