Complete Camstudio Video Tutorial

Yippee!! I have managed to get the video you all voted for uploaded onto a hosting site called viddler. Never heard of it until some student posted up a comment saying I should try them out. Sorry, but can’t seem to locate the comment but whoever it was has been a great help. So I’ve re-posted the entire post from last Monday! Yes it’s taken that long to get totally on top of things. Oh, btw, this isn’t the KILLER POST I mentioned earlier. That is something else and will be absolutely fantastic I promise, particularly if you  … no, won’t mention anything else for now. Meanwhile here’s the post and video from the start of the week. ….

Well I’ve got a great treat for everyone today. A complete video tutorial on ’How to Create a Video for your own Website’. It covers everything from start to finish, using the free CamStudio video streaming software and is about 25 minutes in length.

Using video is a great tool to get your message across on your own blogs or web-pages. As you’ll see in the video, it is amazingly easy to do. Sooo, sooo,  simple. Remember, if we are going to succeed and make a profitable online business as readers of this site are all dedicated too, then you need to take action. Therefore, I propose you set yourself a little challenge today.!! Don’t worry, nothing to difficult. What I’d like readers to do is using your new found knowledge create yourself a little video and get it loaded on your website.  Now it doesn’t have to be a move epic - just a 10 second video will do. Just you saying hello or maybe just showing off your website will suffice. The content is irrelevant, but by applying that knowledge immediately you have taken a valuable step along your road to success. Every little step counts and taking action will move you one step closer to achieving your goal of making a profitable business.

Quick Update and Request for All Students

Morning fellow entrepreneurs!

Quick update. I’ve been inundated with emails direct to me asking for help or advice. Now I really do appreciate people contacting me, but for help/advice the blog is the place to interact. I’ve said this before and I’ll say it again; if it is a question worth asking then it’s something that somebody else will be struggling with as well and thus relevant to be posted on the blog. I will no longer be replying personally to these types of emails as to be honest I just haven’t got the time. Hope you all understand :-) However, that is not to say that there are times when something is better sent by email as the topic is of a more personal nature or not relevant for a general audience. These of course I will always reply to. In the end we are trying to build a useful reference site and community here for everyone, so personal email tuition doesn’t give anything back to the wider community.

It’s been a crazy and tiring few days and last night I managed to catch up on some much deserved decent sleep for a change. Today, I’m fully energised and back with vengeance, lol.

I’m going to start replying to all your messages/comments personally today. I see while I’ve been away the community has been thriving with some great contributions from many people. Everyone keep up the fantastic work. Some great posts on some other sites as well I see. It’s really great how everyone is helping each other out.

And that’s why today I’m going to make an offer to those newbies in particular, who have been really struggling and overwhelmed with just where to start. I mentioned a couple of days ago I was going to possibly sign-up with a Bulk purchase option with Hostgator. Well I did, so those that emailed me saying they’d like to take advantage of the cheap hosting option I could offer can do so now by clicking on the ‘Hosting‘ tab or link on right-hand side. Full details can be found there.

Even better still. For those who want, as a ‘personal thank you’ for the support I’ve received from everyone over this difficult week, I am prepared to install a standard WordPress Blog for you personally, for FREE!! This will take any headache away for those technophobes who are really struggling and give you time to get to grips with the other Alex Jeffreys material.

Complete Student List.

Just a quick post. I am going through all the communications I have add over the last few days since Alex Jeffreys recommended you visit the site and becoming part of this thriving community.

A few things are apparent.

1. I have a lot of people to add to the Student Blogroll and this will be done as soon as possible.

2. Quite a few have asked to be included but unfortunately haven’t specified their blog domain name!! If you want to be added please add a comment with your URL and then I will add it to the list. It is something the site administrator does on a blog and cannot be done by visitors for those that have asked how they add it themselves.

3. The list is getting very long - as everyone can see! It is fast approaching the point where it is unrealistic to include additional student names on the first page of the blog. So what I intend to do, once the cutoff is reached, is add a separate page accessible by clicking a link to see an ‘overflow’ list. If you want to get prime spot on the main page get your links in now and I will process them on a first come, first served basis.

Right back to all the email and comments :-)

Yippee!! It’s working

Phew, I think I’ve done it (fingers crossed). Thanks for all your patience, support and offers of help over the last couple of days. It’s much appreciated.  I am now going to go through my massive list of emails you’ve sent me plus comments you’ve posted, and either personally reply direct, comment on my blog and/or if you have your own blog I’ll post on that. I’ve still got a rather troublesome problem which hopefully some of you can point me in the right direction, but more on that later in the post.

It looks as though I’ve lost a few comments as part of the transfer but I’ll try and manually recover them. There are still a few problems but all in all it’s a massive step closer to getting back on track and I can start adding some informative posts again to help everyone out. In fact, the last few days I’ve learnt some valuable lessons which I’ll be writing about later and not just about transferring blogs to a new host. Have you all got backup and security in place, for example, so that if your server went down you would be able to recover it and not lose all your hard-work. I don’t want to scare anyone but it is essential that you do this. If I hadn’t taken a backup of my blog I could potentially have lost everything.
