As it’s Sunday, just a brief post today. Last chance reminder to vote in the Poll before it closes later today and I start making preparations for the first video.
Well, the other Gary (one R version!) has a post everyone should pop over and read. Click on his BlogRoll entry to have a read. It’s titled “Buzzards and Seagulls” and if the title doesn’t intrigue you enough to have a read, I don’t know what will!!
The topic is all to do with the doom merchants (or negative thinkers) who go out of their way to rubbish others rather than focus their efforts on something constructive. At all costs you must ignore them and remain focused on your path.
I mentioned previously, that I am a big advocate and follower of Tony Robbins, the Peak Performance Coach. One of his core philosophies in ensuring your success in any field is the peer group you associate yourself with. If you surround yourself with friends who continually “see the glass as half empty” (pessimistic by nature) then they are hardly going offer to words of encouragement and support. As friends, they won’t mean you harm but will only see the downside of what you are doing and the potential risks. Mix with these people long enough, and in particular discuss your plans with them, and they will gradually chip away at your drive and desire and the seeds of doubt will be sewn in your own mind. This slow trickle of lack of support (or worse) will eventually undermine most people and then you will give up. It is crucial to mix with like minded people else you run the risk of been worn down.

Hope everyone is well and putting into action the steps to build a solid foundation to an online business. I thought this morning I’d put up a general catch up post as we have had so many comments, that it’s easy to loose valuable responses along the way. Just a reminder don’t forget to vote in the poll, the video option just has the most votes at the moment, so if you want your preference to win get your vote in now.
BIG NEWS FIRST! Have you seen that the man himself, Alex Jeffreys, has posted a very long and complimentary post on the blog to us all? In fact, he is that impressed with how we have all pulled together on the site and helped one another that he is going to make a case study of us all. Wow, how cool is that??? I think that can only be beneficial to all who have commented, contributed and those that appear in the Blogroll as even more people will visit here and then pop on over to your sites as well. It’s win-win all around, so I urge anyone who has been holding back until now – get involved – everybody gains in the long run and at the same time we can help and support one another.
So here follows some key topics that have been covered over just the last 2 days and help for those who want to know how to do something.

Right folks, yesterday my blog went crazy – in a nice way :) I had loads of visitors and over 20 comments. Do you know the other day when I was well pleased with my traffic stats and posted the proof for all to see. Well yesterday I had over 125 visitors. 125 visitors from no blog a week ago – can you believe that?????
Wow! Now I don’t say this to boast or brag. I’m telling you to encourage you to do this same. The more of us that do this, then we will have a thriving community that will only be of benefit to us all. Thanks to all those that contributed by commenting or emailing or just popping by and having a read. I really appreciate it. I will respond to all the comments/emails but please be patient as I’m trying to manage my time the best I can.
Now for giving something back to you all. I am going to make a video for you but first I’d like to poll you to find the thing that is holding you back and make that the subject of the video.
Please vote. It only takes 1 click and I’ll have the video made for you early next week. Thanks

I’ve being getting a load of emails sent direct to me rather than people putting them up as comments on the blog. It seems some people prefer to email rather than give feedback/ask questions via posting comments. Hopefully, I’ll answer most of them in this post (it’s a long one so stick with it) and try and later get around to responding to each of you personally. However, what I would say is if it is worth asking it’s probably something that someone else needs to know as well so best posted as a comment. We’re all learning together here so no question is a silly question as someone else is no doubt thinking it as well and possibly to shy to ask. Come on … we’re all a friendly bunch here and most of us are newbies so we can all ask and learn together.
Seem’s that Alex’s team are struggling with some technical difficulties, changing servers, which is unfortunate timing but this will be behind us soon. So here’s a breakdown of the main things that people are asking.
What I am supposed to be doing now?

Just thought you’d be all interested to see a snapshot of my traffic stats. Really shows this blogging is working and encourage you all to give it a go. Let’s all work hard together to make things happen. Nobody else will do it for us! Furthermore, for some reason, the stats are only for the first 3 days until last Saturday. I guess there must be some configuration option that I need to set to remove the delay. The last few days have seen even more and more activity on the site, so I’ll have to check them out later in the week.

PS. I’m dead pleased that I managed to work out how to create the image and upload it too! I guess others will find it easy but it’s another first for me.
